How the Raffle is conducted:
1. You select the number of tickets you want for each specific item you want to win and pay for them via PayPal (read about ticket prices and fees below). Ticket sales were to end on Monday, Apr 19, at 11:55 pm CDT (subject to change). This has changed. We will now end ticket sales for prizes that can be used in NOLA during Jazz Fest at 5:00 pm CDT on Tuesday, Apr 20. Sales for all other tickets will end Monday, May 10 at 5:00 pm CDT.
2. We (Jeff & Amy Potter ) receive your information in a spreadsheet, fill out raffle tickets on your behalf and place them in the proper item envelope. No one else has access to this information. .
3. Winners for prizes that can be used in NOLA during Jazz Fest will be drawn electronically on Tuesday April 20, 2010 and winners will be notified prior to the start of Jazzfest. The remaining prizes will be drawn on May 10, 2010. There will still be a Raffle Party in New Orleans at the home of David and Jennifer Rooney, our hosts, on Monday, April 26, 2010, at approximately 2:00 PM. Any raffle participants are welcome to attend.
4. If a prize category indicates multiple lots, we have more than one of the same prize. We will draw as many winners as we have lots for that prize from the entrants for that item. Each entry may only win one time, but if you purchase multiple entries, you may win that item more than once.
5. We will post winners on the Jazzfest Chat Board as soon as possible following the drawing and also notify winners by email.
6. Except for tickets that can be used in New Orleans, prize donors will ship prizes to prize winners. We will put donors and winners in touch via email to make delivery arrangements. There may be some shipping costs to the winner for larger items. Volunteers will coordinate delivery of prizes that can be used in New Orleans to winners during Fest. All net proceeds from this raffle will be donated as follows:
Threadhead Records Foundation (45%)
Fest4Kidz (SilenceIsViolence) (45%)
Music is Rising / Gibson Foundation (10%)
Explanation of Ticket Prices for different items:
There are 4 classes of Items:
$1 ($25 or less prize value)
$3 ($25-$75 prize value)
$5 ($75-$200 prize value)
$10 (over $200 prize value)
This means that One Raffle Ticket for each item is $1, $3, $5, or $10 (as indicated)
All net proceeds from this raffle will be donated to the Threadhead Records Foundation, Fest4Kidz (SilenceIsViolence), and Music is Rising / Gibson Foundation.
Explanation of fees and minimum requests:
To compensate for the processing fees, we have added a small surcharge, spreading the fees out among all expected ticket purchases:
For $1 tickets, a $0.10 surcharge has been added.
For $3 tickets, a $0.17 surcharge as been added.
For $5 tickets, a $0.24 surcharge has been added.
For $10 tickets, a $0.31 surcharge has been added.
Please select the number of tickets you wish to buy for each raffle prize and your total will be automatically calculated.
We recommend that purchases be a minimum of $5 to minimize fees and maximize donations to the charities.
